Navagraha Temple (Nine Planets)

Situated atop Chitrachal Hill, the Navagraha Temple was historically an esteemed seat of astronomical and astrological study, earning Guwahati its ancient name 'Pragjyotishpura' (City of Eastern Astrology). Inside the sanctum, nine Shiva Lingams draped in colorful cloths represent the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu.
