Peace Pagoda & Japanese Temple

Nestled on the slopes of Jalapahar Hill, the Darjeeling Peace Pagoda is a gleaming white Buddhist monument engineered to inspire world unity and non-violence. Constructed under the guidance of Nichidatsu Fujii, the two-story shrine contains gilded stone reliefs illustrating four key avatars and life episodes of Gautama Buddha.
